The results as reported by Jaime Ferrer, technical director, are as follows:
- The Blau de Formentera reduced its fume emissions considerably, after 500 hours of operation with the best diesel additive XBEE. On the other hand, we noticed a different smell from the fumes at the beginning of the treatment, which disappeared after 300-400 hours.
- The reduction of fumes was even more spectacular in the Illa Pitiusa, as the fumes have almost disappeared after 200 hours.
- As for the Menorca Express, we found that after 500 hours of operation with XBEE, its tanks were clean and its fume emissions were drastically reduced.
