NovaNam trawlers use XBEE diesel to reduce pollution

The company NovaNam, belonging to Nueva Pescanova group, treat their gasoil with XBEE.

Manuel Nuñez, Superintendent at NovaNam, explains the reasons why his fleet of fishing trawlers uses XBEE in fuel: to reduce pollutants, clean tanks and engines, reduce consumption of fuel filters, and to reduce gas emissions…

Basically what we have found over the years is that fuel tanks are clean and sludge is eliminated; the engines do not accumulate as much carbon deposits and do not emit as much smoke anymore. This improvement is reflected in the performance, as less fuel filters are now consumed and also injectors are changed less frequently.

Therefore, we consider that under these conditions, the energy efficiency of our fleet has been improved.
